Big Bad Wolf Book Sale

20090514-big-bad-wolf-books-sale2

The biggest book sale, Big Bad Wolf was here again yeah (and already ended 2 days ago)! It’s my first time going there. Last year, I planned of going but couldn’t make it and I couldn’t remember why. So by hook or by crook, this year I really needed to go to this place. Lucky enough, despite dealing with everything that’s going on right now, (tuition and house renovation that needed to be monitored everyday), I managed to spare some time and go there. Yay me!

Since the first day they opened the sale to public, the place was so packed with book lovers. Last Sunday, which was the last day of BBW, was extra crowded than usual. Managed to grab 16 books when I was there. It doesn’t matter if I have time to read all the books or not, I just love seeing my collection gets bigger. Hahahaha. Kidding. Well, half-kiddin.

Anyway, the crazy bargain offered at BBW was insane. You could get those novels at only RM8.00, mostly. Some RM10.00 and RM6.00. I’ve spent RM100++ over these 16 books that I ended up buying.

All of them! 2 were not in the picture tho..

I read through the pages and laughed. Haha.

Funny, these two. Haha

Seriously, who would Google that? Hahah

That Twilight comic is interesting! Heheeheh

Saw that Twilight comic and I picked it up, spontaneously.

Tho I already have the actual novels, just bought it for fun.

Tho I already have all the novels of Twilight series, I just thought buying the comic would be quite a collection lah kunun tho I missed vol.1 . Muahaha

Thanks to Salina, who actually talked me into reading. I wasn’t much of a reader to begin with. When we were in Aussie, she once dragged me to Borders and suggested the good books for me to read. No, she actually forced me to buy those books. I remember she forced me to read the first chapter of Narnia in front of her, while we were waiting for bus. Haha sick woman.

So yeah, this reading thingy kinda grows since then.

Okay gotta go. I haven’t showered and it’s almost 2. Haha bye!

Behind This Sunny Day…

( Background Music – Big Yellow Taxi by Counting Crows, Damaged by Danity Kain, Sunshine by Gabrielle, Get Back by Demi Lovato and The Only Exception by Paramore )

Hi there! Surprisingly and unexpectedly, I didn’t go to school today. I’m not feeling well. In fact, I just got back from clinic, taking my MC. Last night, I had serious headache ( Well, the doctor said it was migraine.) I told Mr.Gonzales about the headache and he advised me not to go to school today. Even though this morning I felt slightly better, but I still chose to stay at home and only come back to school tomorrow.

So, before I drove myself to the clinic (since mom and dad were not home), I read two chapters of The Book of Tomorrow novel by Cecelia Ahern that I bought with my nieces from MPH Midvalley last Saturday. Hm… What should I say about the novel..?? Well, it’s killing me! The first few chapters were soooo boring. Too many descriptions. The plot was so slow. I hate it! Now, I’m reading Chapter Fourteen, I guess it’s going slightly better, but to be honest, this latest novel of her, is not her best. But, I haven’t finished reading the book yet, so I don’t really know. But as far as I do, I don’t really fancy the novel. Still, I have to keep reading it coz I already bought it. Hahaa

Cecelia Ahern, The Book Of Tomorrow

Eh, it is now July already right? OWH! Another two months left, and then my kids (my experimental kids) will be facing UPSR. Owh! I dunno if I’ve prepared them enough for the big examination.. But, personally, I think the kids have slowly improved themselves especially in Paper 1. Many of them have already scored 30 and above out of 40 for English Paper 1. That left Paper 2 in dangerous zone. They’re not good yet in writing correct sentences and that is why I’ve tortured them now with SVA. I’m gonna meet them again tomorrow during night class (since I don’t have English periods with them tomorrow during school hours). I hope they miss me coz I missed them today. Haha

You know, I keep wondering where will I be, July next year? Coz, I’m, I mean, WE are planning to get married in March next year, if God’s willing, and I’m planning to apply for the pertukaran guru in April. If it will be approved (if the kakitangan kerajaan work faster la…), I’ll be transferred before the second term starts. So, maybe next July I won’t be in SKTJ anymore which is a huge thing if u ask me. But if it happens otherwise, I mean, I’ll not be transferred till the end of next year, it’s okay too since I’m still staying with my family. So, either way, I’m fine with it. Haha

Lastly, I just wanna say a lil bit here about my new Winchester baby. It is expected to arrive (and be mine) before raya which means, before September. Probably, instead of pearl white which I prefer the most, it’s colour will be black. Hmm… I think that’s fine. Black is okay too. It’ll look elegant and expensive but pearl white colour on that thing will make it sooo cute!!!. Haha. Nways, I cant say much, everything is still in the process, but I’m hoping for the best! Aminnn!

Nways, I should be resting right, not blogging. Bye!

p/s- one of the reason I’m blogging today, is because my Fifi is back from service! She’s like newww! She’s reformatted. But the only sad thing is, all my stuff, songs, pics in her body are now deleted. Including Hong Kong pics!!! Argh!! But thank God I’ve uploaded them in my Facebook! So, I dont really lose them. But I still want the original size of the pics, the soft copies from you guys, Salina and Eqa. Plzzz…

p/s/s – my ‘p/s’ is too long. Haha

Let’s Do Some Catchin-Up #13 (Part 2)

Okay! Now, here’s the Part 2 of the Catchin-Up #13.

On Tuesday during the holiday, I went to my sis’ place in Shah Alam. It was always fun meeting up with her, her daughters and sons. They are my favourites. Haha. That evening, my cousin (Kak Ijan), my sis and I went to Plaza Alam Sentral to check out some stuff. Well, apparently, Kak Ijan’s son is getting married. So, they were looking stuff for hantaran, as well as being my wedding planners. Haha. X pasal jer. But honestly, there were lots lots and lots beautiful things at the store that I have already considered to buy for my engagement and wedding ceremony. Sebenarnyer, nk setelkan hal anak Kak Ijan tu dulu, tpi tah my sis ni pon beria gak nk pikir2 ntok my ceremony nnti. So, layan jer la.. We went to Masella’s Bride & Groom Boutique. That Masella lady was very lovely! She suggested few interesting themes, colours and talked about recent trends for todays’ brides. To me! I mean… Wow! I felt like my big day is JUST around the corner! So excited!

And since Abang Man (my brother in law) came home late from work, so we went to i-City Shah Alam in Seksyen 7, very near to my sis’ place. I was just wearing my PJ. Haha. There were sooo many people there. There was hardly any parking spot left. My sis said, i-City ni dh lame ade. But skang bru org nk dtg sbb baru tau. Itu pon sbb masuk tv. Haha. Well, it was soooo colourful! The trees were all fake. At first I thought they only put the colourful lights around the leaves that made the trees looked colourful. But as I was walking nearer to the trees, I realized the trees had no leaves at all. It was all bulbs. All the colourful bulbs! I dunno how much the state government has paid for this, I’m sure it’s hell a lot! But as long as it is for orang ramai and not kepentingan sendiri, I think that’s fine. Hehe.

Some of the pics at the i-City!

Colourful trees..

Look at that!! Like FantasyLand!

These are all bulbs..

Me likey!!

Forget all the colourful trees, I actually prefer the white ones.. Hehe

If you walk further in, there is a Snow House in one of the buildings in the park. They set the temperature in the building very low to match the idea of a winter set. So, it was really cold! All those white bulbs and cottons (snow), the snow men in there were very beautiful!

Snow Man!

Santa Clause's carriage!

The snowy mountain..

Next time, I wanna go here again! With my sis, my nieces, my bro and Mr.Gonzales! Hehe

Owh, almost forgot! I actually saw a familiar face at the i-City. I saw Izyan Amalina. Haha. But I was in the car at that time, so I hadn’t had a chance to say ‘hi’. Hehe.

NEXT!

My Holiday in Muar (Midvalley dulu..)

I spent my first-term school break in Muar with my beloved of course, Mr.Gonzales. He went all the way to Shah Alam to pick me up from my sister’s house, then we went shopping at Midvalley before going straight to Muar that night. Haha! I was kinda nervous to see him after months separating from each other. When I did, I just couldn’t stop smiling! Hehe.. I missed him tooo much!

We wanted to watch Alice Wonderland, but the tickets were all sold-out. So, we watched The Wolfman instead since that was the only movie that fit our timetable. We couldn’t stay too late, coz Mr.Gonzales needed to drive back to Muar that night. I didn’t want him to feel too tired.

Some pics at the Midvalley.

Those mushrooms were cuttteee!

Bought some baby stuff for Mr.Gonzales' newborn nephew.. Hehe

I HAD to buy this.. My Rip Curl watch that I bought in Aussie was already busted.

It is like a bracelet. So elegant! I love it!

Some products for beauty maintainance. Haha

Shoes for work!

Shoes for jalan2.. Haha

I also bought a white pants and black skinny jeans. Owh, have I mentioned that now I’m into skinny jeans? Owh YEAH!

My Holiday in Muar (Batu Pahat)

Then, the next day in Muar, we ( Mr.Gonzales, his mom and I) went to Bandar Muar to settle some documents about his late dad and the properties that he left. All those ‘urusan tukar nama’ lah. Then, in the afternoon, we went to BP (Batu Pahat) Mall. Watched movies, and did some more shopping!

On the way to BP Mall with him.

I'm also into shawls, lately!

Colourful!

Sebenarnyer between this shawl and yg kat atas tu, tatau nk pilih yg mane.. So, beli je both. haha

I bought this book as well.. And now, had already finished reading it. Need another book!

My precious books so far.. Xder la byk sgt pon.. Well, I'm not a 'pembaca tegar'. Haha

Otw balik, Mr.Gonzales introduced me this Murtabak Singapore, or I called it Murtabak Gergasi.. It was big and thick.. Sedap!

One thing I love being here, I get to play with Himawari, Mimi, Sinchan and Chemeh!! Those are Mr.Gonzales’ cats! Both of us love cats very much! He even bring those cats to vet to give them injection supaya x kena kurap etc. Let me introduce you to his cats.

That is Himawari.. The cutest! And the biggest!

Sinchan..

Chemeh..

And, there is one more. Her name is Mimi. But I dont have the pic of her. She kept running around and it was hard to take her pics. Kucing Mr.Gonzales sume bulu pnjang2 and tebal mcm kucing parsi, except Mimi. But they are all very cute!

My Holiday in Muar (SK Parit Pechah)

The next day, guess what? I was asked to cook for their lunch!! Hu.. I know at first his mom was only joking, but I’ve been here in Muar few times already. I couldn’t let her mom do all the cooking alone, this time. So, I bought all the ingredients (ikan bawal, tomatoes, cabbage, peas, etc). His mom and I were ‘bergaduh’ nk byr. I insisted to pay and his mom didn’t let me. So, I just waited at the counter and when his mom came with all the stuff, I quickly shoved the shopkeeper my RM50 note. Haha. I won! Okay! Why did I insist to pay?? Coz I was the one would be cooking! So, let’s just say if the dishes were not up to their standard,  at least it was my own money that I wasted. Haha. But I guess I freaked out too much! His mom did help me in the kitchen, and gave me some cooking tips. Hahahaha. I guess she somehow knew that I didnt cook often. His mom’s cool! Well, not as cool as my mom for sure, but as a future mother in-law, she’s cool enough. And I love her. Hehe

And after lunch, we went to SK Parit Pechah (Mr.Gonzales’ school) to help him painting his class. His school is about the same size as my school, but I think my school is slightly bigger due to the size of the school field. Hehe. He painted his class yellow and purple. To be honest, I was jealous! And I intended to paint my class to make it more beautiful than his. But, that was then. And I left my spirit there. Back home, tetiber rase malas pulak. Hahaha.

Here, the pics!

Sampai malam deco class..

The next day, it was the time for me to go back home. Well, what made me nervous was, his family decided to go to meet my family! Along the way, I kept calling and texting my mom updating her our current location. Mom was preparing lots of dishes and kuih2 for them, so she needed to know bape lame lgi kitorg nk smpai. Kehkeh. Lawak pulak. We arrived at Sabak around 3.15pm. Since they hadn’t had their lunch, so we served the food first. After lunch and performed pray, his mom went to the serious matter. She began with, ‘Maafla ye, kalo kedatangan kami ni xder adat ke ape ke, tapi dh terlanjur dtg ni, kite ikut cukup syarat je lah. Kami ni nk tanye lah.. Emy dh ade org ke blum? And then, all laughed. My mom said, ‘Dah ade dah.. Itu la orangnye..’ referring to Mr.Gonzales. Haha. They continued talking bout hantaran, dates and stuff. Most of the details were actually up to us, so they just discussed the whole big picture of the future ceremony. Nice! Everything’s up to us! Hehe

NEXT!

Qut Alumni

I decided to go to this alumni at the last minute. I was torn apart between PIBG meeting and this alumni. But finally, on Friday at 12pm, I went to my GPK room and put the letter of the alumni invitation on his desk and texted him and that I couldn’t come to the PIBG meeting. I didn’t wanna call him, coz I bet he would ask so many questions. After texting him, I switched my phone off. Haha! And there… To the alumni!

The alumni was held at Nikko Hotel, KL. Even though Mr.Gonzales couldn’t come to the alumni, I was still happy to see my babes there, Ponnie, Eqa and Nurul, Alan and Little P (Nurul’s sister). Zahirah was also there. From TESL batch, there were only five of us, and the rest was from other batches and institutes. Well, to be honest, the speeches were boring (even though I felt so good to hear the Aussie accent again) but the food was marvelous!

Some pics at the alumni.

Me and Eqa at the alumni..

My gf (Alan) and I..

I dunno if this is business attire (the dress code), but whatever.. Haha

Very fun night!

Eqa and I slept at Ponnie’s place in Rawang. The next day, we went to SK Seri Damai to meet our cooperative teacher when we were doing our prac there, Mdm Teh. They were having Sports Day, so we thought we wanted to drop by and say a quick hello to the school.

At SK Seri Damai, Petaling Jaya, with our favourite Mdm Teh!

ex-TESL trainees.. now, we are TESL teachers. haha

After dropping Eqa at the Pudu, Ponnie sent me to Ampang Park to take the LRT to KL Sentral. Well, I managed to see Pak Ngah. What? Yeah, Pak Ngah, Mr.Gonzales’ gay partner or I used to call him, my mysterious guy. Haha. Actually, Pak Ngah temankan Ponnie drive from Pahang to KL, sbb Ponnie x brani drive sorg. So, before they drove back to Pahang, jumpa la PakNgah kejap. From KL Sentral, I took a commuter to Shah Alam, and my sis fetched me there at the station. That evening, I went back to Sabak Bernam to prepare the lesson plans and etc for the next day. So… That’s pretty much it!

😀

Let’s Do Some Catchin-Up #12

heavyloaduk_two cute kittens

Hm, things didn’t really go according to plan. I was supposed to update this thing right after I unpacked my things, cleaned room, showered and drank coffee. But, what really happened was, after I posted the previous entry, I ate Pringles, then went back to sleep. Haha. I woke up again at 11.15am, ate some more Pringles, then started unpacking my stuff. Then, Mr.Gonzales called, asking me to get ready for lunch at UM. I quickly took a shower, then went to UM along with Usher, Bob, Waznah, PakNgah and Apek. Lepak2 kat sane, then balik bilik bru on laptop, to start blogging. Haha.

So, yeah.

Right now, I had already successfully finished my prac. I was happy but at the same time, felt quite sad to leave the school. But I didn’t cry. Didn’t have to. I would meet them again, for sure. Hehe. So, here some of the pictures that I took 2 days before leaving the school.

Before that, we (Ponnie, Eqa, Sal and I) went to Midvalley to buy some gifts for our cooperative teachers and supervisors. I chose the wrong heels. My leg was soooo hurt that I couldn’t walk properly. Couldn’t take it anymore, I decided to walk around with my bare feet. Yeah, there were some people giving me weird look, but I just couldn’t care less. Lantak kau! Haha.

It’s not a final goodbye, we’ll meet again. Almost 3 months at SKSD, really opened my eyes of what kind of teacher I want to be. Many thought teaching is an easy job. well, it IS easy when you want to be a boring teacher who just teaches solely based on the text book. Right? But it becomes difficult and challenging when everyday, you want to try something new, something that will attract your students’ attention, something that will make them happy and motivated to learn English every time you enter the class, something that will make them satisfied with themselves, something that will make YOU satisfied with yourself.

At the Borders, I bought Kinsella’s Can You Keep A Secret? since I’d finished reading the previous Kinsella’s book that I bought, The Undomestic Goddess. Didn’t really like CYKAS, coz somehow I think Emma is ‘gedik’. Hero die pon cam x bape best. Seksa aku bace buku tu.. I prefer TUG more. But right now, need Kinsella’s Remember Me?.

Whoa! Gotta capture this moment!

Phewwwwitt!

And after that, we had candle-light dinner at warung Pak Abu. Hahaha. My favourite! Best sbb open-air and x bape ramai org. Coz meja pon x byk.. That’s exactly what I need with my beloved. Privacy!! Wah! Speaking like a celebrity! Kehkeh.

A Week In IPBA

Then, we had post-prac program for a week. We had to tell about our experience at the school. My group, Faizah, Eqa and I, we presented ‘One Class Fits All’, regarding to mixed ability issue that we had in SK Sri Damai. But, the presentation was reaally main2, coz there was no lecturers at all at that time. Haha.

*no picture*

Open Houses, Muar and Klang

Last weekend, I went to Muar. Coz, Mr.Gonzales’ auntie invited me to her Open-House. I was nervous at first meeting his aunties and uncles, but gradually feeling okay especially when everyone treated me very nicely there. 🙂 And Mr.Gonzales was also with me, all the time. Phew! I can’t believe that I’m at this phase already!! Haha!

Besides that, I was also glad that I got a chance to play with Mimi, the cat that I adopted from UM. I asked Mr.Gonzales to take care of the cat for me. Well, his family take a good care of her. they even gave Mimi a friend by buying another cat, named Himawari. They are all animal lovers, especially, Azrai, Mr.Gonzales’ youngest brother. I looked at the way he played with those cats. He treated them like lil babies. Hahaha.

That is Himawari!

This is Himawari!

Then, on Sunday morning, we had to rush back to KL, coz Mr.Gonzales and I’d promised my brother to go to his Open-House at Klang.

I rarely go down to south, never realized the view is so nice!

Back to KL!

Nice view!

The view is even nicer when it's not captured by camera. Know what I mean?

We arrived early, about 12.30pm, my parents and my sister were not even there yet. So, while waiting for them, we ate first. There were chicken-chop with black pepper sauce, BBQ chicken, coleslaw, rice with chicken soup, spaghetti with mushroom sauce, kuih lapis, kuih sagu and… what else?? Can’t remember. What I remembered was, I ate a lot! Haha.

Then, my mom called me, asking me to fetch my sister at her hostel, UNITAR. Used my brother’s Naza, Mr.Gonzales and I went to Kelana Jaya to pick her up. Back in Klang, everyone (my sister, nephews, nieces, my parents) was already there. We ate some more, 2nd round. Haha.

At 8pm, we went back to KL. Hantar my sister kat Kelana Jaya, then drove back to IPBA. I was reeeaaaallly exhausted. I couldn’t even manage to change my outfit, I accidentally slept for more than 4 hours. I woke up at 1.13am, changed my tshirt, wore shorts then went back to sleep. My best dreamless night! Haha.

Life Means FUN!! :-)

funny-cats-in-hiding-1

By the time I’m typing this, I’m actually super glad that I have technically finished my prac. The feeling was great (even though a bit sleepy coz I didn’t have enough sleep last nite writing lesson plans!) Haha. Nways, just wanted to update few things that happened yesterday.

Car ‘BreakDown’!

Yesterday, we went to school by taxi. Haha. Funny story, Ponnie’s car broke down. It wouldn’t start. It was weird coz after Ponnie entered the key, the emergency lights suddenly turned on and it kept blinking.  Ponnie tried again, but still it wouldn’t start. So, we didn’t have any choice except to catch a taxi. Dah mgu2 akhir ni kena la pulak naek cab, cilakak btol!

Tgk.. Cian kami..

Tgk.. Cian kami..

After school, I asked Mr.Gonzales to see what was wrong with the car. I assumed it was because of the battery. He called Badak to help him checking on the car. Badak membebel2 about pompuan tatau jage keta and bla bla bla. But what more could we say. Hahaha. Memang air kurang pon, air battery kurang, minyak brake pon dah tinggal sket. But still, those were not the reason why the car wouldn’t start. Check punyer check, long story short, there was nothing wrong with the car. It wouldn’t start because…………… Jeng Jeng Jeng… Erm, because the alarm was switched off. Hahahhahah. So, it locked the system and that was why the engine would not start! Damn! X pasal2 je nek cab pagi tu. Hahahahaha.

MidValley Outing!

After that, I went out with Sal and Eqa to the Midvalley. The agenda; Celebrating Eqa’s Birthday which was yesterday. Haha. Xder la celebrate sgt, saje2 membuang mase padehal our lesson plans x siap lgi pon time tu. Kehkehkeh. Erm, we had dinner at Chicken Rice Shop. Had TCRS Meal with my favourite yummy Kerabu Manggo!! And then, we went to MPH. Sal and I wanted to buy books. It’s been  a while since I last bought books. I think the last book that I bought was Thanks For The Memories by Cecelia Ahern, 5 months ago?? Yep, I think! And then, I was busy with I-Dunno-What-Craps, and I figured that I might not have time to read books, so I stopped buying them. But now, since prac is almost over, I start to buy them again. I wanna finish reading all Kinsella’s books. The one that I bought yesterday was The Undomestic Goddess (which I wrote The Ultimate Goddess in my Twitter, haha!). Korang dah lame abes bace?? Eleh, pedulik ape. Sukati la if aku baru nk bace pon. Haha. Eh, emo pulak.

And then, after that we went up to Jusco. Eqa wanted to redeem her birthday coupons by Jusco. Haha. Know what? Actually, Eqa was very ’emo’ yesterday coz she couldn’t buy Arashi magz due to her current financial condition. It was soooo funny coz she almost cried because of that. And it was funnnnn seeing her like that. Sal and I kept teasing her along the way until die tarik muke. Mcm gmbar kat bwh ni. Hakhakhakahahkahak!
