A New Look!

Cat-yeah

Yes!! After what it seems like centuries, I’ve finally changed my blog layout! Loving this clean and elegant white background, called Adelle. This is designed by Bluchic. Thank you!

Since, it’s too white, I also added some cool widgets to the sidebar to make it a lil busy. Hihi.

This is the second part of my vacation in Langkawi last 2 weeks. You can read the first part here.

Day 3 : Langkawi Cable Car (again)/ Perdana Quay The Loaf/ Dataran Lang

So, it was the final day in Langkawi. We packed our stuff and checked out at 8 a.m. We had a lot of stuff with us, as a result from our shopping spree last night, so what we did was, we checked into a budget hotel (RM60 per night), just for the sake of storing those stuff temporarily. We were concerned about the chocolates actually. We didn’t want them to melt if we brought them along with us. So after putting all of our stuff in that hotel, we began our adventures today to the Langkawi Cable Car (again, yes!). As what you have read in Uuuull Langkawi! (Part 1), or if you haven’t and care enough to read it, you can click on that link to do so, the queue to the cable car was sooooo long, it’d take 2 hours. We decided to go to other places and only came back again today.

So… I didn’t know if we were early or what, but seeee… It was literally empty! Hahaha

Emptttyyy! That was hubby right there. Haha

After about thirty minutes or so enjoying the amazing view, we took the ride down to the base station, bought some souvenirs and continued to the next stop which was…

The Loaf @ Perdana Quay

We had our pre-lunch here (ceh, ada pre-lunch pulaakk). Loved the bread and croissant! My brother had a chat with one of the staff there, talking about the boats at the quay. Then, we were also informed that Che Det was actually here two days ago. Hah, not that I’m a big fan, but it actually would be nice to meet him, you know. Haha

Peaceful. Kat sini x ramai sgt org, tenang jee.. Hehe

Next, we went to do some last minute shopping. Our flight was at 10, but we needed to be at the airport at 8. Masa ni ada beberapa lagi benda yang belum beli, like gamat and batik. So, we dropped by at MH Saujana Enterprise in Kampung Bayas to buy them.

The owner was so nice. He even showed us how gamut was cooked and prepared. This was like, Lawatan Sambil Belajar. Haha

Before we went to the next stop, sempat singgah lagi sekali lat HIG to do some last minute shopping. Tah bape kali last minute shopping, haku pun tak tau. Bought some more cutlery set, knife set together with the board and pinggan mangkuk hape tah lagi. Actually, the night before I did buy some Pyrex, Luminarc and Tefal. Yang kunun nk survey je tu, sekali terbeli terus sbb ingat dah x singgah.

For the new house! Well, this is the main objective of this trip actually. We wouldn't care to go if it wasn't for this. Hihi

Finally! Dataran Lang!

This is the biggest Langkawi trademark. Tho there was really nothing here, but you still need to visit this square, just for the sake of a photograph with that giant eagle.

Tadaaa!

Tadaaa!

Pekena laksa sat before balik..

Then, we went back to that budget hotel, freshened ourselves, prayed and did last minute packing. Around 7, we stuffed everything into our rented car (Innova) and sped to the airport, because we were already late!

Yes. Stuffed! Hahahaha. Baru berape hari ni..

See you again Langkawi!

So, that was it. We plan to come here again in 2-3 years time. Totally loved the beaches there (as much as the shopping malls la kan haha), and we’re thinking to explore other islands in our next trip here. Mangrove Tour, checked. Next would be……??

Little This And That

Last week, I already shopped 3 dresses from my favourite clothing line, The Poplook, but I still haven’t got a chance to try them on yet because right now I’m in Sabak Bernam and those are addressed to my house in Muar. Huaaa… Cant wait! But, to get rid of the guilt (of wasting money on dresses again), I decided to sell some of my dresses in my wardrobe, those with the tags are still attached. Yang baru ade, yang dah yg pakai sekali dua, then x pakai dah pun ade. I should do a clearance sale kan.. Usually I let go of my stuff in TPL Group on Facebook, they’re always sold out. That’s why I love buying TPL stuff, because they have high second value and whenever I don’t need them, I can always sell ’em. Here’s the best part. There’s always buyers! Hahaha cool right!

This is the group. It's done me a lot of favours so far. Hehe

Okay, by the way, these are the dresses that I bought, which I might sell in the future! Haha but if they’re soooo worth to keep, i’ll just keep them then.

Today is my second day at home, and when I say home, I mean Rumah Sabak Bernam. I’m only gonna be here until this Sunday, and then I’ll go back to Muar to monitor the whole progress of our house renovation. Can’t wait to see my new kitchen. I hope they won’t mess things up while we’re not around.

Day 4. That’s our kitchen. 🙂

Speaking about kitchen, well, I decided to cook today since I RARELY cooked in our own house (yes, in caps!). Hubby requested Nasi Lemak with sambal sotong and ayam bakar rempah. So, here they are!

Macam bengong je puji masakan sendiri. Hahahaha. It’s actually quite an accomplishment for a newbie like me, you know. That’s why I’m bragging about my cooking right now. Haha

Today is 27th November 2013. It’s 2 months (2 months and 1 day) now since ayah passed away. The pain of losing him is still there (how can you lose it, you’ll never lose it), but we know he’s in a better place right now. I still get a glimpse of him sometimes in my sleep and his voice still lingers in my ears. Just now when I got back from buying groceries for mom, we passed by the cemetery where ayah was buried, the balai raya where ayah used to go for kampung meeting and the mosque. Every inch of this place reminds me of him. Lagi2 bila tgk parit2 kat sepanjang jalan. I used to help ayah printing those pictures of parit for kampung development files and documentations. Hehe.. Kdg2 ayah keluar rumah bwk camera, saje tanye, ‘Ayah nak gi mana?’ He said, ‘Nak tgkp gambar parit. Nak ikot ke?’ Hehehe.. Or, balik rumah tanye mak, ayah kat mana, mak said, ‘Alah, tgkp gambar parit la tu…’ Haha. Parit parit parit! Memories! Always love and miss you ayah!

My favourite old man in the world!

Pen off now. See ya!

My Kinda Morning

computer-cat-witness

I’m home alone  right now. Hubby’s not here due to a course that he needs to attend this morning, so I’ll be on my own until 4-5 p.m. Hmm.. What should I be doing now? I can’t go out because hubby’s using my car and I don’t know how to drive his manual car. It’s not that I can’t drive manual, I just can’t drive his. Too many modifications he did on that car. I’ve already folded every single clothes yang bergunung x lipat semalam, changed the bed sheet, scrubbed the toilet and vacuumed the whole house including the room. All done yesterday. So now, I’m on my Macbook, facing the TV watching Starworld, with a cup of hot Milo and Delicia Gardenia with me. What a boring morning. Haha

My kinda morning..

My blogging spot.. (Ignore those Tamiyas)

Any of you who’s already off to your vacations? Well, we’re going back to Selangor probably next week since hubby has LDP sessions at school for the whole week. As much as I want to, I can’t be there longer since we need to check on our house renovation that will be starting this week. Probably balik sana just for a week. Can’t wait for mak to complete her ‘edah’ so then we can bring her jalan2 in Muar. Heh, jalan2 la sangat kan..

Anyway, last night I saw a link posted by an acquaintance (wanted to write a friend, but… no she’s not really a friend haha) on Facebook about this tremendous journey of a British man, from Singapore to London, BY TRAIN, BUS AND FERRY! No planes at all. Here, I’m giving you the link.

WOODLANDS TO WOKING

Such an awesome journey! I spent the night reading all his stories on his blog and pretty amazed by all the fascinating experiences, cultures and people that he encountered along the way. It’s true what they say, it’s not the destination, but the journey that matters the most. I told hubby about this and asked him if he wanted to experience it some time in the future, he said ‘Taknaklah. Buat ape susahkan diri? Kalau nak pergi, naik flight je la.’ Adoi. So then I lectured him about all this journey and destination quote thing and asked him again the same question. He didn’t answer (because he was focusing on FIFA14 at that moment! I doubted he even listened to my lectures.)

Alright. I think I wanna do some blog-hopping and then maybe try to get some ideas on the internet for my kitchen at the new house. Bye!

Take Off Your Work Heels…

… and start wearing flats and sneakers, coz it’s school break time!!

Excited into, but the truth is, school break la sangat kan.. Budak je cuti okay, cikgu cuti sikit2 je. but I’m still happy because at least, I don’t have to wake up as early as 5 anymore. Tehee..

So, where are you guys going this holiday? I already started my pre-holidays last 2 weeks (the Langkawi vacation) and another one (the Sarawak vacation, in sha Allah) would be around late December. I’m not sure if I would be going anywhere in the middle of the school break because we still need to focus on the house renovation that is done yet. Maybe we would , I don’t know.

School tuitions will be starting in December. Hmm.. As long as I’m a teacher at this school, my school break timetable will be something like the image below. Does anyone wanna replace me?
Pretty pleaseeeee…

Note to Sal if you’re reading this, ‘I’m tired of being WANTED all the time! Once in a while nak jadi UNWANTED mcm you bleh x??’
