Regarding to this entry, I now get a new phone! YEEEAAAAYYYY! I didn’t buy it tho, it is a gift from my beloved husband, Mr.Gonzales. Hihi. I think by now, you already can guess what phone I am using. Well, I’m gonna give you the name first. Haha. In case you don’t know, it’s my thing to name all my favourite stuff.

So, let me introduce you,

SAMMY WINCHESTER

(Yes, the name is after the character Sam Winchester, from Supernatural).

Okay, like I said in previous entry, I was torn apart between iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S2, and finally I stick to my decision to buy S2 that now is named, Sammy.

Before I go further, what I’m gonna write here is solely based on my point of view and ‘interviews’ from other users. It could be wrong so, it’s up to you to judge.

There are few reasons actually. The main reason is, Samsung is a better-built design compared to iPhone 4S. I mean, it’s tougher. It is proven through the drop test between 4S and S2 on a Youtube. I am not sure if that test is actually a fake, but I don’t wanna take a risk because I’m a person who always drops stuff. Ape bnda yang aku pegang x jatuh? Semuanya jatuh. Laptop pon penah jatuh. Haha.

Another reason is, I like the design of this smartphone. Although it is slightly bigger than iPhone 4S, yet it is thinner and sleeker, which I think looks more modern. I always like sleek phones. Regardless what brand they are, sleek phones are cool. And 4S is not cool enough for me. Hihi. That’s what I think lah, you can always disagree.

Some of my friends has advised me to take iPhone. Well, I think it’s mainly because that’s what they like, for example Salina. She asked me to buy iPhone, and I asked why? She said, because she SIMPLY likes Apple. Tu je. Kalau tanye lain, dier tak tau kot. Hahahaha. But to me, I know and admit that iPhone 4S is famous for its popular applications and some of them are sooo cool, but I don’t really mind. For a fact, Samsung is the best Android phone.  Apple products MAY have high quality and they are PROBABLY the best, but it is not the same case with this particular product, iPhone 4S. I have read many negative reviews about this smartphone, on the Internet and also from my friends who are using 4S. That’s why I choose Samsung S2.

The other day, I saw some of Apple fans wrote this somewhere on a few websites when Samsung Galaxy S2 keep winning the argument of which one is better, Hate Apple = Can’t Afford Apple. Haha. Is this a joke? Because if it is, then it is a good joke, it’s really funny!

And no, I don’t hate Apple. In fact, I’m dying to get a Macbook if this Fifi Winchester (my pink Vaio laptop) dies on me one day. It’s just that, I’m not into iPhone 4S because I think (I repeat, I THINK), unlike any other Apple products which are mostly genius, this particular gadget from Apple, is not so much.

Okay, I rest my case.

iPhone 4S or Samsung Galaxy S2?

I need a new phone. I have been wanting one since I lost my beloved Nokia (it was stolen), which was almost 4 months ago. At that time, rumours had it that iPhone 5 would be coming soon. Well, it has now arrived, but the name is iPhone 4S. So, I had made up my mind that I would totally buy it. Then…………. I heard about Samsung Galaxy S2. It is a battle of which one is better compared to the other. It is a tough battle for iPhone I think, since Samsung Galaxy offers similar, probably BETTER features, for A LOT LOWER PRICE, which attracts a lot of people, including me.

Up to this point, I am still torn apart whether I wanna get an iPhone or an Android, and I am just clear about one thing, ‘I’m gonna get a new phone before the school break starts’. So, I googled to find the information about these two smart phones so that I won’t regret my decision later.

I found a great article, at this website. It gives crystal differences (strengths or weaknesses, whatever you call it) and I think it’s very helpful for those who are still deciding which one of these two is gonna be their new baby.

In case you are too lazy to click on the website, here I’m quoting few points mentioned in that article.

The Look and The Feel

Besides the fact that S2 is slightly larger yet thinner than iPhone 4s, still, “When it comes to the quality of the construction both are very well made, and while the overall feel of the iPhone 4S is better. The Samsung Galaxy S2 uses Gorilla Glass, which is much, much tougher than the screen of the iPhone S4. The evidence of this is in the testing, and this video shows just how much better the structure of the Samsung Galaxy S2 really is at withstanding damage.”

Performance

The performance of these two is quite SIMILAR, however, “While the A5 chipset used in the iPhone 4S is slightly less powerful than the Galaxy S2, it is still twice as powerful as the original iPhone 4. This means that while the difference between the S2 and the 4S is pretty small, you will definitely notice the difference if you are upgrading your iPhone!”

Utilities

“While the list of Android apps is growing fast, it is still a long way off matching the huge amount of iStore apps that can be downloaded. If you are looking for niche apps for your smart phone, you may have more luck with the iPhone for a while longer yet!”

Connectivity

Bluetooth 4.0 offered by iPhone 4s is obviously much better than Bluetooth 3.0 by Samsung Galaxy S2, but “When it comes to connectivity the Samsung Galaxy S2 bring the benefit of 4G to the table. This means you actually get decent connection speeds, which are much faster than those of 3G (Which is as fast as the iPhone 4S goes). While 4G is a huge advantage in speed, 4G coverage is still a little low in many areas. So it may still be a while before you will see the benefits of this regularly.”

Camera 

Both camera offers 8 megapixel at the back but Samsung Galaxy S2 also comes with 2 megapixel camera at the front. Even though so, “Both the cameras are great quality, and while they don’t really compare to a stand alone camera, they are fantastic from a smart phone standpoint.”

Okay. Enough quotation. I don’t think I need another one second to decide which of these two babies I’m gonna buy.
My mind is finally made up, and I’m gonna buy ‘it’ soon!

Let’s Do Some Catchin-Up #19

Just got back from pekan. I’m such an idiot. Niat di hati nk photostat ntok class esok, but bende nk diphotostat x bwk. So, just went straight home. Buang masa and minyak keta jer. Huh!

Nways, my new layout. What do you think huh? Mr.Gonzales likes it. He said, it’s simple and not too crowded like before. I designed the background myself, that explains why is it sooo… amateur, but takpe lah. Daku memang ada penyakit x suke theme blog daku same ngn org lain, that’s why buat sndiri. Haha. FYI, I just bought a WordPress plugin to change the fonts in my blog for $30. I always have issues with WordPress fonts. Too small lah, too thin lah, too big lah. not funky at all. So, by using this plugin, I can change the head and title fonts, the body texts sesuka hati. (Daku tgh pujuk myself that this is not pembaziran).

Some random fact – I always think WordPress is much cooler and classier than Blogspot. That’s why semua bnda pon kena byr! Haha.

1. Firstly, my transfer application to Muar dengan segala hormatnya was rejected. As usual, the primary reason was because there were not many English teachers in this district, so they would not let go of any English teachers especially TESLian like moi.

2. Next, last school holiday, we had a family vacation at Bukit Merah, Perak. Actually, we wanted to go to Kuala Terengganu, Cherating (shopping2) but at the last minute, we decided to dedicate the vacation to the kids, my little nephews and nieces. Ye la.. Budak2 kalau ikut jalan2 shopping, nanti diorg boring. So, bwk pegi theme park. It’s okay, we’ll have another adult vacation next time.

3. I lost my phone and this is my first time losing this type of gadget (benda lain memang banyak kali lah, especially wallet). It was either misplaced or stolen, but I second the latter. Never mind lah. Daku halalkan sapa ambik. I was planning to buy a new one pon (tah bila la…). So, as for now, I’m using sis’ Mini Nokia N97 until I got the new iPhone4 (again, tah bila laaa…).

4. Still remember bout this post?  I was talking bout the day I got my P for the car license. Now, I’m no longer P holder. Yeah! During those 2 years (2009-2011), I only had 2 speeding tickets and 1 car accident (only minor scratches, beautifully repainted by Uncle Gim Lee, Alhamdulillah).

5. Heechul is sick. He kept being attacked by this one vavi cat until he was badly injured. Huhu.. Poor my baby. Look what that vavi cat has done to my poor love. Sampai demam2.

I still couldn’t catch that vavi cat lah. He quickly ran away every time he saw me (since daku baling dier dengan batu ari tu).

Okay…. I dunno what else to tell here. Everytime buat Catchin-Up memang mcm ni lah. Rase mcm byk nk cerita, but once I typed them down, tak lah banyak mana.

Pagi tdi ade class. Drpd 34, 25 je yg turned up. 9 org lgi M.I.A. Dhla yg x dtg tu budak2 yg lemah. Geram btol! Smalam dh warning dh, ade bnde penting nk bgtau regarding to English Paper 2 for UPSR, tpi brani gak diorg ni x dtg. Grr! X sedar diri btol la diorg ni. Nways, tdi class okay jer. Cume x bape cukup mase laa.. Sometimes, I just feel that there are soooo many things to tell, yet soooooo little time. Lagi bape mgu je nii nk UPSR. Aku lak yg takut. Huhu..

Patutnye pas abes class tdi, aku terus gi Shah Alam. Lepak umah kakak. Sebenarnye nk amek resit nombor plat keta ngn ECPI products yg kakak belikan. Tpi, balik2 class tu rase letih giler. Lepak2 jap smbil tgk tv, then ngntuk… Terus tido. Erm, sblom tu, ade gado ngn Mr.Gonzales. Text+gado ngn dier smpai aku tertido. Bile bgn dh kul 3 ptg. Dh lmbat mcm tu, aku dh jdi malas nk gi. Lagipon, keta tgh buat hal. Mls nk amek risiko. Kang tersadai tgh jalan, mmpos. Tpi, x jdi gi arie ni, mebbe gi esok pgi. Balik arie laa.. Letih giler la nnti. Hm, mang kena gie. Coz, resit plat number tu Acik Din (agent keta) nak kalo boleh this Monday. Kot2 keta smpai before raye. So, esok terpakse gak la gi Shah Alam amek.
