Dear Mohd Ezuan bin Mohd Rozlan,
Thank you for that..
And now baby,
On your very special birthday,
I make this promise,
This week, classes went well as usual. Time does fly. Pejam celik je dah sebulan ngajar ntok 2011. I’m starting to get used to my 32-period-of-teaching timetable and for now, I’ve got everything covered and under control.
WORKING, TEACHING, STUDENTS.. etc
Speaking bout work, I used to complain a lot especially when I first taught Year 1, the first few days. It was SUPER DUPER tiring. I had to do everything fast, speak (scream??) my lungs out otherwise they wouldn’t listen to me. At times when I was very tired and didn’t have energy to ask them to keep quite when they were making soooo much noise, I just hit the table with the ruler. Very hard, very loud so that everybody would keep quite. I also gave my death stare to each one of them. Up until now, 5 kids already cried because of me. Haha. The good thing is, they never seem to ambik hati or what. The next day, they would still smile from ear to ear and very excited to see me. That’s the beauty of kids, they never take it personally. You can marah them like gila but tomorrow, they still wanna hug you. Hehe..
Well, this is what we did yesterday for English Language Arts. This week, I taught them about the phoneme S, and the jazz chant ‘Siti and the Snake’. So, after reading the jazz chant, after doing some reading+writing+spelling exercise for the past 3 days from Monday, I asked them to make a big book. This is the part I love the most in KSSR. Language Arts!
So, for wedding preparation, I’ve bought few stuff already, like the paper bags for the door gifts, bunga telur and few baskets for hantaran. And I’ve already distributed the wedding cards to my friends. Thanks to those who ask for the hard copies. Memang nk habiskan ni. Sila lah mintak sape2 yg blom mintak tu. Haha
The wedding cards..
The door gifts..
The documents that need to be ready before the akad nikah..
Yesterday, after school, I went to Pejabat Agama Sabak Bernam to ask for Borang Kebenaran Untuk Bernikah. Straight after that, I went to a clinic to do a HIV test, one of the procedures to get married. Haih, skang memang leceh la.. Macam2 diorg nak…
But, know what?? After completing all the forms, I just realized Mr.Gonzales did one big mistake. He put the wrong date for the akad nikah!! Eiii! Geramnye aku! He put 12th March 2011. That is the wedding reception, not the akad nikah! The akad nikah is a day earlier, on Friday, 11th March 2011. I thought I’ve told him million times already! So, I asked him to tell Pejabat Agama Muar about the mistake, and let see if he could just scratch the date or he needs to get new form. The problem is, his forms have been processed and certified by the Pejabat Agama Johor before he sent them to me to be processed in Selangor. I’m just afraid nnti by the time dapat sijil nikah, tgk date x same ke ape ke.. Who knows..?
STUPID RANDOM THING
Owh, lupe nk cite satu benda. Yesterday, when I was still in class, I got a call from an unknown number. She claimed herself as one of the VISA telemarketer ke ape tah, and asked me if I was interested in credit card protection system whatever lah.. Okay, first she asked me about my credit card number and the expiry date untuk tujuan pengesahan. The stupidest thing was, she asked me about the three digits at the back of the card (the SECURITY number) and I very stupidly TOLD her that too!!! Gosh, still can’t believe I did that! And she kept babbling about the product, bla bla bla.. Luckily, I couldn’t really hear what she said coz I was in class, so I cut her off, and asked her to call me back. After I hung up, I couldn’t help myself but feeling really suspicious bout the woman. Okay, one. Why did she ask me bout all those details for pengesahan?? Sampai security number pon dier tanye. Two, why did she call me using a cellphone number, not an office number (landline)?? The funny thing was, she said that the three digits at the back, for example, 100, it means that I’m the 100th user of the card! How stupid is that??? At that point, I know she was lying but the weird thing was, I couldn’t say anything. Hm.. Maybe because she spoke too fast and I was like blurr ke ape time tu..
So, on the way driving home, I was really scared coz I was 100% sure that it was a fraud call. I called Mr.Gonzales and told him what happened. He asked me to call the customer service immediately to see if there was any transaction happened within that one hour. Nasib baik xder.. Lega! Then the customer-service lady said, even if pihak VISA call to offer any product, they won’t ask about those details especially the three digits at the back. So, as I already expected, it was a fraud call. I asked the lady to terminate the credit card and I reapplied for the new one.
Okay, let’s talk about something more interesting.
BABY AURELLYA DARLENE (DARLING)
My niece, Darling has grown big!!! She’s getting sooooooooo cute lah! Geram btol tgk dier ni! She’s good at posing too! Look at these pictures.
She’s turning 4 months-old, I think, but yeah, she looks like she’s already 6 months old or something right..? Sooooo tembam and healthy! Mom said she looks like Kakak Eda (my sis) especially that pointed nose. Can’t wait to see her grow up and see what a beautiful girl she will turn to! Soooo adorable lah! The best thing about her is, she hardly cries. Sangat2 jarang menangis. Every time we disturb her when she is sleeping, she just opens her eyes and start playing with us, takpon, tido balik. Tu je. Even if we are busy with our own things and she is just on her own, not sleeping, she will play with herself. Tgk sana, tgk sini, speak her own language, paddling her arms and legs.. I mean, crying is just not her thing you know. Sometimes, we have to pinch her arms or her cheeks very hard, to hear her crying. When she finally cries, we will clap our hands and laugh at her. Hahahahah. Tu pon, bukan menangis, merengek2 jer.. Haih la Darling, I love u sooooo much!! You have the main criteria to be my favourite baby; you hardly cry. Haha
Okay lah. Enough for now. Bubbye!
Before I go further, I just proudly wanna say that I’M NOT GOING TO HAVE 1-WEEK BREAK FOR CHINESE NEW YEAR!! My CNY break will only start on that Thursday itself. Yaaaayy!! *roll eyes* Why la skola tu x normal mcm skola lain?? Banyak je skola lain yg xder Chinese students tpi cuti seminggu! Eeii! Menyampah! Memang susah kalo dapat admin yg plain stupid and lifeless mcm die tu. Grr. I’ll punch him!
Okay, so forget about that. Nways, I’m going to Klang (Abg Bob’s house) tomorrow (since I don’t have skola ganti kan) to buy stuff for my wedding. Stuff like doorgifts, paper bags and few others. I was supposed to make a bread pudding today. I wanted to bring it to his house tomorrow, but I forgot to buy the bread and the butter. Haih!
So… About the wedding preparation, I think everything’s fine. The one that I worried bout before was the canopy, since ayah and I had different tastes. Ayah’s taste is always always always the weirdest of all, so most of the times, we, (my brothers and sisters including my mom), didn’t agree with his decision.
In this case, since he wanted to use his friend’s canopy which was soooo not-following-the-theme for MY wedding, I felt like I had to stand up to him and tell him what I felt. As usual, kalau aku yg bincang ngn ayah tu, memang lame2 suare kitorg yg rendah makin lame makin meninggi because he kept giving me weird excuses (at least they were weird and unacceptable to me). In the end, both of us bengang with each other. So, I told my brothers and sisters about that, and after diorg campur tangan, dad finally changed his mind. Diorg tu diplomatik sket and penyabar (ikot mak kot), pndai cucuk2 ayah. Aku x pandai cakap lapik2, and x bape penyabar and degil (bab degil mang ikot ayah, so bile gadoh mmg mcm buku bertemu ruas). Actually, he changed his mind after Abang Man pujuk. Abang Man is like, our last resort. Ape2 benda yg kitorg x bleh pujuk ayah, we’ll use Abang Man. He’s the most influential in our family and ayah only listen to him.
Don’t get me wrong. Even though I am quite rebellious, but I am actually close with him. I can tease him and challenge his opinions for fun, coz I love to argue with him and every time I argue with him, I’ll make sure I have the last word (x ksah la pon if my last word is just ‘Hek ele..’). Despite all of the above, I really really love my dad!! Ayah, terima kasih!!!
Okaylah. Babai now.
p/s -Tomorrow I’ll see Darling. Dier sekarang dah pandai ketawa mengekek and her amrs are now soooo berlipat2! Haha. Geram geram!
You make me feel out of my element,
Like I’m drifting out to the sea,
Like the tide’s pulling me in deeper,
Making it harder to breathe,
We cannot deny,
How we feel inside,
When you look into my eyes,
And just like that,
The chemicals react..
Thank God I found you..
and I ♥ U FOREVER

Hi all. Here’s a Catchin-Up entry!
Not The Curriculum Secretary Anymore!
On last Monday (or Tuesday??), we, teachers had a meeting. The meeting was actually about the changes in our teaching timetable since our school got a new teacher. When I knew we had a new colleague, I was soo happy coz I thought she was the English teacher, but turned out that her option was Pengajian Am, means she would be teaching Malay, Civic, Music, Local Studies and stuff. This also means, there would be no changes in my timetable. I would stick to 32 periods of teaching that I was given earlier.
During the meeting, all other teachers got to cut down their minutes of teaching. From 28 periods to 24, from 30 to 27, something like that. Honestly, mesti la rase jeles gile. Plus, with that amount of periods of teaching, I was also given few big posts such as being the curriculum secretary and the sports secretary. These two posts mang byk kerje. So, during the meeting, I voiced out this issue, saying that I couldn’t handle all this on my own (even if I could, I just didn’t want to coz I think it was a bit unfair). So, they allowed me to drop the curriculum secretary post and handed it to the new teacher! Hahaa.
One more reason I was dying to let go of the post was because I couldn’t stand working for the Curriculum boss. I mean, the PK Curriculum la. He’s just too impossible to work with, coz he’s a freak and bodoh sombong. I seriously can’t work for an idiot like him. That’s why I chose to keep the sports secretary post, coz the Koko boss is verrrryyy sporting!!!
Chocolate Almond Cookies
(This is the first time I baked this!!!)
Okay, so few days ago, I felt like eating chocolate cookies. So, I started googling and youtubing the best and easy recipes for chocolate cookies, and later I found this video. After watching it for few times, I rushed to the kitchen and start menyelongkar kitchen cabinet and fridge, looking for the ingredients.
Here are some of the pictures.
As usual, there’s always issue with everything that I tried on my first attempt. I think the cookies were too sweet. I think I did put too much brown sugar into the mixture. I was supposed to put only half cup of the brown sugar, but I think I put almost a cup of it. Even after I added some more flour, it was still sweet. But overall, it was okay. Next time I try baking this, I’ll make the perfect one!
(The Wedding Cards)
I’ve booked my wedding cards from here. The site belongs to my school technician’s brother. It is based in Penang as you can see from the name of the website. I chose this company coz their products are sooo cheap! With that quality and that price, I think that’s a good deal. Plus, I got more discount since his brother worked at the same school with me. I mean, who wants to waste soo much money on the wedding cards? It’s not like people wanna put it in frame after reading it kan? Paling wangi pon, they just keep the cards underneath pile of bills and other letters, but most often, they just throw it out after putting the dates to their organizer. Hahaha.
*both colours are based on our wedding themes..*
They are going to post the cards on this Monday. I think maybe around next week, I can start distributing the cards. Owh, to any of you who wants the cards, you can ‘inbox’ me your address in my Facebook account, okay?
So, the cards are now settled. Hm, the catering is also now settled. Mom and dad already went to the caterer’s house and tasted their food, mom said it was delicious. I’ve got few more to handle, like the bunga telur, shoes yg x beli lgi, door gifts.. Haish.. Ponin!
Queensland Flood Disaster
(Owh, YES! I memang seorg Melayu yang suke amek tau hal luar daripada hal2 yg berlaku sesama bangsa kite kat Malaysia. Sue me!)
I bet the whole world knows that recently there was a very big flood disaster hit the northern part of Queensland, Australia. I was shocked when I read the news because I have never thought that this kind of natural disaster would happen to such place. It was sad to see some of the places that I was very familiar with got affected by the flood.
I used to live in West End area, and there was few times when I took a walk at the Orleigh Park in the evening or during weekends. It felt so weird seeing now that the place is no longer a park / playground. Water was all over and the place turns to be sooo ugly! Also, when I was still working as a cleaner, we (Nurul and I) often used CityCat to go to our client’s house in (I cant’ remember the name of the place). So, from West End ferry terminal, we took the CityCat straight away to Regatta terminal every week. Sometimes, when we missed the bus from the city to go home (sbb tgk movie or stay back kat Garden’s Point campus buat assignment yg time tu dh sememangnye last minute), we used the CityCat from Gardens Point or North Quay terminal all the way to West End terminal. Sides that, we also had a very close friend in St Lucia. We used to go to his house every Wednesday night to watch So You Think You Can Dance Australia (boleh je tgk kat umah tpi time tu ade conflict ngn housemate, sebulan dua jugak la conflict tu, hahahha!). St Lucia was very near to West End actually. Both places were just separated by the Brisbane river. We just had to take the CityCat across the river to go to St Lucia. We rarely used the bus to go to his place since the journey was like, 2 or 3 times longer if we took the bus. So, we used Brisbane river a lot as our mean of transportation when we were there. Seeing it got swollen and broke the banks was really scary for me, without even having to be there.
The pictures below are taken by my ex-neighbour, Judy Tan. I used her pictures to be uploaded in this blog. Credits to her, and thanks for sharing Judy!
Thoughts and prayers to all the flood victims.
